Saskatchewan @ Montreal
Montreal -6.5, Total 50.0
What a matchup to start the 2017 CFL season, Durant against the team he has been on since 2006. Saskatchewan has just won 3 times (one of them being a garbage last game of the season win) in the last 10 games in Montreal, it is historically a very hard place to play in for Saskatchewan. There is another factor here, Saskatchewan was in BC less than a week ago, and in 6 days, and they have to go out East to play Montreal.
Based on the injuries that Saskatchewan has had in their secondary, Johnson will most likely be starting the wide side corner; he was signed on Monday. Although Montreal does not have the best depth at WR, their offense should be good enough to have drives, and chew up the clock.
From a side perspective, I like Montreal to cover, as this is the healthiest Montreal will be all year, and Saskatchewan has historically struggled. The total is tricky here, but if I had to bet it would be under 50.0 as both teams have suspect offenses, and both teams defense is their strong side of the team.
